When dental work is considered, it is important that the end result be not only aesthetically pleasing but also a mouth that is functional and healthy. That is why Dr. Brian Valle recognizes oral risk factors and provides patients with functional and cosmetic treatment plans that ensure the best long-term outcome.
Born and raised in Arnold, Valle graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore and opened his private practice in Millersville after graduating from The University of Maryland Dental School. Most of his well-trained dental staff has been with him for more than 20 years and shares his vision for superior quality dentistry.
Valle spends ample time with each patient to ensure that the visit is personable, comfortable and informative. “It is important to educate patients and make sure they understand how their treatment will be beneficial,” he explained. “We like to say that even though a smile looks good, it does not mean it’s functioning properly. Improper functioning potentially leads to future problems and breakdown.”
Valle uses a scientific treatment model based on the Kois Graduate Center in Seattle. The course of treatment focuses on five fundamental risk factors: periodontal (gum and tissue), biomechanical (tooth structure), functional (bite and jaw), dentofacial (aesthetics) and medical conditions. This method allows him to identify and treat individuals who are at risk for tooth loss, decay, fractured teeth or bite trauma. The outcome provides a cost-effective, minimally invasive plan that predicts long-term sustainability and function.
Although he has more than two decades of professional experience, Valle continues to educate himself on the latest health-related advancements at the Kois Center. As part of Kois’ international program, he has earned the prestigious mentor status and teaches other dental professionals from all over the world who are involved in the program.
Valle enjoys giving back. Whether that is in the community or by helping individuals understand how they can maintain long-term dental health, he finds happiness in serving others. In addition to volunteering as an assistant coach for his son’s Green Hornets baseball team, Dr. Valle also volunteers at the Stanton Community Center’s dental clinic serving those unable to afford quality dental care.
